Is your website secure?

Our website is hosted by a trusted South African service provider and is SSL secure. We have also implemented several CMS security plugins to encrypt and secure any personal information that may be recorded on the website, such as contact forms and profile details. No transactions or payments occur on our website.

How are shipping fees calculated? Will my plants arrive healthy?

Air plants (tillandsias) can be shipped to any Postnet in the country. For an order weighing less than 5 kilograms the fee is R99. This is a standard Postnet to Postnet fee and we do not add any interest on to it.
Local shipping fees for terrariums – as we are based in Table View, Cape Town we offer free delivery to surrounding suburbs for free. We however cannot ship or post terrariums nationally as they are delicate glass products. With terrariums, we charge normal petrol rates depending on distance from Cape Town CBD.

Order Processing, Shipping and Status

We process orders immediately and will contact you to inform you whether the order can go through or if additional information/changes are required. We ship terrariums within 5 working days, however this is usually quicker depending on size of order. Air plants are shipped within 12 working days, however there is a good chance the plants can be collected or delivered within 1 or 2 working days if they are on the premise.

When will I get my order?

Small orders can take at most 5 working days. Air plants are subject to availability. The most one can expect to wait is around 12 working days. This is because some air plants are grown in a nursery at a larger scale, and time to get the air plants to the warehouse for packaging can take several days.

How can I check the status of my order?

Can you expedite my order?

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require an emergency order. If it is realistically possible to put together an order for next day delivery/collection it can happen.

Do you ship internationally?

Terrariums are for sale only in the Cape Town region, unless special delivery/collection options are arranged. Air plants can be shipped nationally in South Africa to any PostNet store.

Can you send my order as a gift?

Terrariums are packaged in clear, sturdy boxes for transport. These can be gift wrapped at an additional price. We also can attach a simple label with a customized message on it. Again, please contact us so we can arrange this.

What is your return policy? Can I make an exchange?

I personally handle all preparation, making and packing the terrariums and air plants. High quality checks are done on all glassware used in terrariums. Should there be a major crack or damage to the glass that occurred before hand over I will be happy to immediately refund you or prepare another order as quickly as possible. Remember that we use handmade glass for the terrariums, and each glass has its own imperfections and natural folds and lines. These are not from damage but because of abnormalities in the glass creation. Should there be a serious imperfection or dent, we will be able to refund or replace it. Can I cancel my order?

Orders can be cancelled within due reason. If the order is pending still please contact us and ask us to cancel it. If order is being prepared or is ready, we can discuss whether a refund is possible.

Will I get the exact item shown in the product photo?

Plants are living, growing entities that can change with season, watering and age. Although the pictures on the website closely represent the product, there is always a chance slight differences in size, colour and length. Plants can flower during the stage between taking the product picture and delivery. Although we like to photograph our products with plants that are in bloom, we will send a young plant unless otherwise specified so that you can enjoy the bloom as well because most Tillandsias will only bloom once in their life. Some products will include the exact plants as shown.

Please note that most of the images on this website are stock images. They are from external sites on Google and are just used as a visual reference. If you are the legal owner of the image and request it to be taken down I am more than happy to do so.

Anything special to know about receiving my order that contains a live plant?

Living plants need basic care: light, water and food. Please ensure that you follow instructions that accommodate the product or feel free to use our online guide as a reference in terms of care.

Why hasn't my air plant flowered?

No blooms? Plants that don't bloom are likely just too young. You can expect your plant to bloom when mature, which can take about 3 years. Another reason for no flowers is lack of sufficient light. Move your air plant to a brighter location, but avoid hot, direct sun which can scorch the foliage.
