Tillandsia Straminea is a long-lived air plant that grows to a really large size. The plant blooms multiple times over the generations, with strong-smelling purple-white flowers. It is a wonderful addition to your garden or patio.
A single piece of T.straminea can get larger and larger each generation if grown and cared for correctly. This graceful species of air plant has long drooping leaves that are soft to the touch.
It prefers full sun or very bright light. A thorough wetting once a week with a slight dash of liquid fertilizer is sufficient. They will rot easily from excess watering. A rule of thumb is …the whiter (gray) the Tillandsia, the more light and less water.
The sweet smell of it’s flowers will make you come back for more.
